DEFINED is a reverse-dictionary word game where you identify words from their definitions. We believe in minimal data collection and maximum fun.

Data We Collect

Display name - chosen by you for the leaderboard (optional)
Device identifier - an anonymous, auto-generated UUID
Game scores - your scores for Daily Challenge and game statistics
Font preference - your choice of typewriter font (stored locally)

This data is stored locally on your device and on our servers (Supabase) for leaderboard functionality.

What We Don't Collect

No email or account required
No personal information
No analytics or tracking
No advertisements
No third-party data sharing
No location data

Data Storage

Your game data is stored using Supabase, a secure database service hosted in the United States. We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third parties. Local preferences (like font choice) are stored only on your device using AsyncStorage.

Your Rights

You can change your display name in the app settings. If you want your data removed from our servers, contact us and we'll delete it promptly. You can also delete the app at any time, which will remove all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy

DEFINED does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game does not require any personal information to play and is designed to be educational and family-friendly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
